Treatments

The first treatment will last up to 90 minutes long and Rose will ask questions about your reason for seeking acupuncture and your general wellbeing.

We recommend that you eat a light meal a few hours before treatment and wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes that can be rolled up to the knees and elbows.

Keep yourself hydrated and avoid alcohol for several hours after treatment.

Most people find acupuncture very relaxing and can feel very peaceful after a treatment. Try and give yourself some space to rest after a treatment and avoid vigorous exercise or using heavy machinery.

As well as acupuncture, Rose is also qualified in cupping, moxibustion and gua sha and uses these additional therapies in treatments where beneficial.

The treatment itself is the very start of any healing process. Rose is passionate about enabling you to become an active participant in your own wellbeing. Often small and pragmatic changes to a current lifestyle can reap significant benefits.

Additional Therapies

Chinese cupping involves placing cups on the skin to generate suction. These can be left static on moved around a specific area of the body. It helps to generate blood flow and can also be used in stress management.

Moxa is a herb which we use to warm and move the Qi in the body. We use a Chinese herb called Mugwort which is burnt on or above acupuncture points.

Using a specific tool, this form of massage uses a scraping action to move blood and Qi in the body. This can lead increased and improved blood flow in muscles and skin.
